12:00 pm - 4:30 pm Wireless & Non-Wireless Connectivity for Smart Grid Deployment (Utility Attendees Only)

This tutorial will give the engineer:

  • A high-level understanding of different communication technologies, including physics behind RF propagation, FCC rulings, available equipment and practical information on how propagation studies are performed.
  • Comparisons of different communication technologies and their most practical purpose.
  • Fundamental requirements for SCADA deployment and building a wireless network.
  • Introduction to new tool for SCADA/Automation deployment.
