The Energy Council of the Northeast (ECNE) is a regional trade association of electric utility companies and  vendors and suppliers of goods and services. We are united by one central concept:

 "The exchange of information on engineering, technical, safety &
operational issues promotes operating efficiencies, cost savings and safe work practices,
thereby increasing our ability to provide reliable service to customers."

Our committees and working groups provide the framework for information exchange.  We also conduct conferences, workshops and seminars which provide opportunities for professional development within our industry.

Our member utilities serve households and businesses within the six state New England region, and parts of New York.  We have categories of membership available for investor-owned, municipals and cooperative utilities and our Associate Members are those companies providing equipment and services to the industry.
