This two-day course is designed for non-financial professionals seeking to gain a better understanding of utility finance and ratemaking.  It is an introductory level course suitable for:

  • Project and team leaders, supervisors and managers
  • Utility staff in all departments including, customer service, communications, accounting, public relations, IT, safety, etc.
  • Staff new to the industry or interested in utility finance basics


Tony Kvedar, CMA is a retired finance professional with over 30 years of experience.  At Green Mountain Power Corporation, Tony held several positions including Tax Analyst, Budget Manager, Tax Manager, Assistant Controller, and Managing Director of Financial Planning.  His expertise spans rate case filings, financial forecasting, project analysis and merger and acquisition analysis.  Prior to GMP, Tony worked in tax enforcement for the State of Vermont, was a member of the Vermont National Guard for 22 years, and served as an Adjunct Instructor for Trinity College and the University of Vermont.
